This beautiful 15th century house is just a short
distance from Arezzo and Cortona, situated on a hill and
surrounded by Olive trees. Linda, the owner, with a lot of creativity
has managed with a lot of care to blend the past with modern day
needs.
The bedrooms are furnished with authentic antique furniture, the
floors are of old terracotta, the walls are warm pastel colours
and the ceiling has wooden beams. The linen is co-ordinated, the
bathroom furnishings modern, all of which makes this an enchanting
place to stay.
Outside, the garden is overflowing with terracotta pitchers and
flowers. A small old church completes this beautiful and harmonious
environment.
The enchanting position of the villa, amongst gently sloping olive
groves is ideal for walking and cycling. Linda will be a great help
to you by explaining the routes and with detailed maps of the various
routes. With Linda you can also get to know about the local craftsman,
from cheeesemakers to glass making. All these activities are important
to the village and confirm traditions.
The owner of the house pays a lot of attention to breakfast which
is served in a nice room with a panoramic view. The tables are beautifully
set and there are flowers for everyone. Home- made cakes, from old
family recipes are served, and also if you have the need, a gluten
free breakfast or dinner, following the Celiac Diet, can
be served. When it is very hot, breakfast is served on the lawn
amongst the olive and cypress trees.
