Tuscany must be one of the most well known holiday destinations in the world, and for good reason. As well as the fabulous art, architecture and heritage, Tuscany boasts staggeringly beautiful and untouched landscapes perfect for relaxing and recharging your batteries. Between the mountains, seaside and countryside we have brought together a range of properties from apartments to villas for all holidayers from honeymooners to families to groups of old friends.

I have just come back from a trip to the Marches, a region in the central east of Italy that is not well known even to us Italians. And I confess to you that my breath was taken away by the natural beauty of this very special corner of Italy, and by the warmth and enthusiasm of the locals for their land - an enthusiasm that is restorative to say the least and that also you will be able to share.

Liguria is a thin hilly strip of that land stretches along the north western coast of Italy from Tuscany to the border with the French Riviera, touching the regions of Lombardy and Emilia Romana on the eastern side. Popular with tourists for over 200 years for its mild climate, beautiful beaches and its particular character created by its mare e monti - or sea and mountainous landscape.

Moving south to Sicily, the golden island of eternal summer with its own traditions that really are of another world. The history here is palpable, the architecture grandioso, the colours and perfumes of a southern Mediterranean land that will enchant and fascinate you in equal parts.

Of Umbria many things have already been said. The art, the stunning countryside and the culture are all striking. There is just one thing I would like to add. The quality of the produce of Umbria is superb; the wine, chocolate, and truffles (not the chocolate kind!) that are found here nearly all year round. This standard of excellence is evident also in the accommodation in Umbria, the houses are beautifully kept with care and traditional taste.

One of the most fascinating Italian regions is, without doubt, Puglia. Its colours go from the deep reds of the soils, to the greens of the age old olive trees, to the vines and orchards, to the oranges and greens of fruit trees, to the deep blue of the sea that blends with the sky, and the sparkling white of the houses, - all unique and quite unforgettable.
